A Writer Who......

I am a writer who doesn't understand punctuation? Ever since I was in middle school, and we were doing, punctuation worksheets, I could never understand it. When I write an essay people tell me I write very long elaborate sentences that should be broken up because they are confusing for other people to read. Also commas haunt my dreams. When, do I use a comma how, do I use a comma and how often, do I use commas? The only punctuation I comprehend is exclamation points. They are my favorite! Punctuation and I still fight, that is why I am a writer who doesn't understand punctuation.

  1. I find punctuation tricky as well. I laughed after I read this because I can totally relate to your situation! I love the "commas haunt my dreams." Haha!

  3. I have the same problem with punctuation. It is the worst! Whenever I do use commas they are usually incorrect.

  4. I agree Elizabeth! Punctuation wasn't that hard for me, except one thing! COMMAS! They were extremely hard! I always put commas in places that sounded like they needed one. Now that I think about it, they were in random places! However, over the years, I've gotten better! (Hopefully, I haven't put extra commas!)

  5. For some reason, I have always been really good with punctuation. Seriously, when I'm thinking in my head, I subconsciously say the word, "COMMA." It's super weird! Anyway, if you ever need me to proof read a paper or whatever, that's fine with me.
